HOW TO TIP YOUR WEDDING VENDORS

Acknowledging and tipping your wedding vendors for their role in bringing your special day together is crucial, which is why we have created this guide to help you navigate the importance of this gesture of gratitude. 

Expected Tips

Delivery & Setup	$15-$20 per person	Upon delivery
Officiant	$50-$100 tip, a $100-$500 donation, or a gift	At the rehearsal or rehearsal dinner
Makeup & Hair	20% of total	Upon completion of your and the wedding party’s makeup and hair.

Bartenders	10-20% of alcohol bill	End of reception
Catering Staff	$20 per serverSee Note Below	End of reception
Transportation	$50 – $100 per driver	Upon pickup or after the last ride
Venue Staff or Attendants	$1-$2 per guest, or car for parking valets	Beginning of reception

*Cash tips for catering staff are as follows:

• Catering / Banquet Manager and Head Waiter: $100-$300 each
• Head Chef: $50-$100
• Wait Staff / Kitchen Staff: $20 each

Optional Tips

Coordinator /Wedding Planner	15-20% of their fee, up to $500 cash, or a gift	End of reception or after honeymoon
DJ / Musicians	10-15% of the total bill, or $50 – $100 per musician	At the end of their performance
Florist	10-15% of the total bill, $100-$150 cash, or a gift	Upon delivery / setup or end of reception
Photo Booth Attendant	$50-$100	End of reception
Photographer / Videographer	$50-$200 each or a gift	End of reception

Venue Coordinator or On-site Contact	$100-$200	End of reception
Assistant Coordinator	$50 per assistant	End of reception

While cash gratuities are always appreciated, a thoughtful review or thank you note goes a long way as well. If you plan to leave reviews, it is kind to share a note with those involved on the wedding day so they can expect to hear from you. 

When distributing gratuity, the best way is by envelope or Venmo. To make your life easier, our KEE team can collect any gratuity for distribution from you at the beginning of the ceremony rehearsal (typically the day prior to your wedding day). We ask that you have the envelopes prepared and sealed properly for distribution on the wedding day. Upon request, for those who prefer Venmo, we can assemble an email with each vendor’s information so you can share gratuities easily.
